Specific hire option
“No licence” does not mean no rules. The chosen boat, power, length, driver age, operating time and authorised area determine whether it can be operated without a Spanish recreational-boating qualification.
On 29 August 2026, article 10 of Royal Decree 875/2014 exempts certain motor boats up to 5 metres and 11.26 kW from the regulated qualifications, for daytime navigation within 2 nautical miles of a port, marina or place of shelter, with a minimum age of 18. A published amendment takes effect on 1 October 2026, so check the wording in force on the day of departure.
The listing must state length, power and qualification requirement. Follow the handover briefing, authorised area, capacity, timetable and every safety restriction.
Ask if the listing does not show every detail. Availability and inclusions differ by boat; this page does not replace the booking terms or official instructions.
No. Only boats that meet the legal and operational limits can be offered this way.
The current exemption requires daytime navigation. Follow the timetable supplied with the boat.
The current rule caps the exemption at 2 nautical miles from a port, marina or place of shelter; the operator may set a smaller area.
It depends on the listing and booking. Confirm fuel, deposit, insurance, equipment and extras in writing.
